VSA arts of California at Sacramento (VSAS) presents "Act On!" A Theatre Camp for children of ALL abilities!
Thirty actors attended camp Monday July 12th through Friday July 16th at Fairytale Town. Final performances were presented Saturday, July 17, 2010.

CAST:
MAEVE CASTLEBERRY Age 13 Maeve loves to act and eat chocolate. Her best movie ever is Harry Potter—all of them! Maeve has performed previously with On Stage at Leonardo da Vinci School and enjoys singing for others. She says her sister is her hero and that her bright red hair makes her special.

SAM BALZER 12 years old Sam has performed at Leonardo da Vinci School in The Historical History of the Trojan War. Sam loves to drum and eat Caesar salad. He has been drumming for 7 years, thus making him special, and was chosen to perform with the LDV Blues Band. Toy Story is Sam’s best movie ever, and his heroes include Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, and Chris Rock. |

PETROS ZACHARIOU-REMPP 10 years old Petros returns to Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for the third year—having played a clown and a snake charmer in past productions. Petros enjoys playing video games, watching his favorite TV shows, swimming, and riding his bike. His favorite foods are sushi and hot dogs, and his best movie ever is The Last Air Bender. Petros’ heroes are his parents and his grandparents. What makes him special is “I am kind.” |

QUINN JACKSON Age 12…Going on 13 soon Quinn has been part of Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for seven years. She has also performed in several dance productions. Quinn loves to play keyboard plus eat brown sugar ham. She says Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince is the best movie ever and that her mom and her dad are her heroes. Quinn feels she is special becauseshe is talented and makes friends easily. |

GORDON FELESINA Age 9 ½ Gordon loves eating peaches plus playing with his big brother, Reid—who is his all-time hero. His best movie ever is Avatar. What makes Gordon special? “I play the cello.” This is Gordon’s second year at Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. Last year, he played one of the pirate zombies. |

MICHAEL DONNELLY Age 10 Michael’s all-time heroes are “I, Me, and Myself.” His best movie ever? “I don’t know…too hard!” Michael enjoys playing on the computer and eating apples. He loves to eat pizza and says his “special-ness” comes from being good with humorous expressions and memorizing. Michael has performed withVery Special Arts Theatre Camp for three years. |

KASEY GOSUICO 9 years old Kasey loves art and eating watermelon. She has been in a play at her school, Leonardo da Vinci, and thinks Alice In Wonderland (2010) is the best movie ever. Her cousin, Kelsy, is her hero. What makes Kasey special? “I love animals, and I help make the earth a better place.”

JAKE LEATHERMAN Age 8 Jake loves to eat steak plus watch movies and cartoons…but not all at the same time. He enjoys watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. His dad makes him go WOW! Jake is special, because he is good at swimming. He has performed in 101 Dalmations and three years of Very Special Arts Theatre Camp.

JORDAN CORDER Age 11 Jordan considers his special-ness to come from the fact that “I have a great memory.” He loves playing Wii, eating pepperoni pizza, and watching Despicable Me. His mom and dad make Jordan go WOW! He has performed in the drama class at his school last year, various dance shows at Joseph Sims Elementary School. This is Jordan’s second year at Very Special Arts Theatre Camp—having played a dashing pirate in last year’s show. |

IRIS DAHLSTROM Age 6 Iris is special because “I can draw and color pretty good.” She also likes to swing and go to the park. Iris loves pizza, eggs, persimmons, and apricots. Nim’s Island is her favorite movie. She says, “I’ve been at Theatre Camp since I was a baby! I’ve also been in plays since 2009.” Iris says her Dad is her hero. |

CAMERON BACHMAN Age 11 Cameron is special because “I like to have fun,and I sing!” Cameron has an amazing talent for memorizing complex lyrics, mainly songs from Broadway musicals. How To Train A Dragon is his best movie ever, and The Hulk makes him go WOW! Cameron’s favorite things to do are play golf and eat pizza. He returns to Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for the third year in a row and is an audience-favorite for his intermission vocal performances. |

MARK DONNELLY Age 10 Mark loves playing on the Wii and eating peanut butter sandwiches. Avatar is his favorite movie of all time (because of all the blue people), and Mr. Incredible makes him go WOW! Mark considers himself special because he can draw. This is his third year performing with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. |

ISABELLA ROCCUCCI 9 years old Isabella loves drawing and eating cake. Elliott Moose is her favorite movie of all time, and this is her second year at Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. Isabella thinks she is special because she is adopted. Her moms and her Nana and Papa make her go “Wow!”

ZACHARY NEFF Age 10 Zachary is special, because he can play the bassoon. He performed with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp last year, where he starred in Captain Crazy Eyes and the Time-Traveling Zombie Pirates. Zach loves to eat burritos plus hang out with his friends and family. Zachary’s best movie of all times is Karate Kid. Who makes him go WOW? “Myself!” |

JACOB CORDER Age 10 ¾ Jacob thinks he is special because “I’m a funny kid.” He loves playing football and eating pizza. Jacob’s heroes include his mom, dad, Lucky, Jordan, and Joshua. His best movies ever are Transformers 2 and Revenge of the Fallen. 2010 marks his second show with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. |

EVA ANDERS 9 years old Eva previously acted in an ocean play at Leonardo da Vinci School. This is her first year with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. Eva’s best movies ever are Hairspray and Mary Poppins. She loves eating bean burritos plus reading and writing stories. Her hero is Michael Jackson. What is special about Eva? “When I grow up, I want to be an architect that helps the world.” |

PACO GARCIA Age 12 Paco returns to Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for the third year, having performed last year in Captain Crazy Eyes and the Time-Traveling Zombie Pirates. Paco loves reading and eating chili. He loves Disney movies—especially Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty & The Beast. His heroes include Sacagawea, Amelia Earhart plus his mom and dad. He considers himself special due to his great imagination. |

ALEXI ZACHARIOU-REMPP 8 years old Alexi is very special because he is a good helper. He is an avid rock and crystal collector, and he loves eating green veggies, strawberries, apricots, and rice. Alexi’s favorite movie of all time is Toy Story 3. Alexi has performed in a school play and a community choir performance… in Sydney, Australia! Who makes him go “Wow”? His family! |

MAYA DIAZ-VILLALTA 8 years old Maya loves to swim and eat spaghetti. She is an expert in Aztec Dance and has performed “everywhere.” Maya’s favorite movie is Mafalda. Who makes her go “Wow?” Her dad—“Because he is funny and smart.” |

JOHN DONNELLY Age 12 John feels he is special because he is creative. His heroes include Abraham Lincoln, Chuck Norris, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. John’s favorite things in life are watching movies, building legos, and playing card games with friends. His best movie ever is Inner Space. John returns to Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for the third year. |

JOSHUA CORDER Age 12 Joshua says Minnie Mouse makes him go WOW!, and that his story-writing abilities make him special. This is his second year at Very Special Arts Theatre Camp, where last year he played an amazing pirate in Captain Crazy Eyes. Joshua’s best movie ever is Despicable Me. He loves watching movies and eating pizza. |

CHLOE BALZER 10 years old Chloe enjoys eating duck and reading. Her best movie ever is Spirit (The Horse). She has appeared in Midsummer Nightmare at Leonardo da Vinci School and joins Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for her first time. Luke Skywalker makes Chloe go “Wow!” What does she feel makes her special? “I have Tourette Syndrome.” |

ALEX GARCIA Age 11 Alex feels he is special, because “I am lucky when playing Yugioh.” He enjoys pizza and watching Eragon. Last year, Alex was part of the Flying Monkey Productions show, Honk Jr. He is performing for the third year in a row with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. Alex’s heroes? “My mom and dad.” |

ZACHARY ROBERTS 9 ¾ years old Zachary (Zach) feels he is special because he is smarter than the average 4th grader and knows negatives in Math. He enjoys eating pizza and doing athletics —except soccer or baseball. He is very excited to see the new Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Very Special Arts Theatre Camp is Zach’s theatrical debut. Who makes him go “Wow?” “My grandma who passed away. |

BELLA HOPKINS 9 years old Bella says Percy Jackson makes her go “Wow!” In fact, her best movie ever is Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Bella performed in a school production titled Character Matters. This is her first year with Very Special Arts Theatre Camp. She likes apples, and she really likes to act. What is special about Bella? “I’ve tried out for a movie!” |

ABBY PAIVA 11 years old Abby has acted in several productions at her school and joins Very Special Arts Theatre Camp for the first year. Her hero is Dara Torez. Abby enjoys watching Mamma Mia, and she loves to ski and eat ice cream. She is quite special, because she has been skiing since she was 1 ½! |

ERIC LEUNG 11 years old Eric loves playing basketball and eating ice cream. His favorite movie ever is Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, and his hero is Superman. Eric has performed with Magic Circle Theatre and Sense Theatre. He feels he is special because of his birthday…which is October 24, 1997 |

ISABELLA ZACHARIOU-REMPP 7 years old Isabella (Bella) loves dancing, singing, swimming, and spending time with her family. She likes to eat ice cream, apples, and carrots. Very Special Arts Theatre Camp 2010 is her debut performance in a show. Her mom and dad are her heroes. Bella feels she is special because she has lots of big brothers to protect her. |
