Theatre camp 2009
VSA arts of California at Sacramento (VSAS) presents "Act On!" at Fairytale Town, Saturday, July 11, 2009: Captain Crazy Eyes and the Time-Traveling Zombie Pirates

Guided by Narrator, Simon Anuscszyk, a group of respectable pirates sauntering about in the 1790s encounter an Evil Fairy who, through her wily powers, transforms them into zombie pirates who want nothing to eat except brains. Alarmed by their disgusting new characteristics, Captain Crazy Eyes sends a band of his pirates into a time tunnel. Their assignment is to meet the Evil Fairy’s sister, Good Fairy, who can change them back.

The pirates land in the 1970s at a disco where they have been told the Good Fairy resides. Not adapting to the Bee Gees, disco balls, or bell-bottoms, the pirates run back to the time tunnel and arrive in pre-historic times. When a few of them are eaten by dinosaurs, the rest of the group again launches the time machine in search of the Good Fairy.
Dropped into the 1860s, the pirates now find themselves at Ford’s Theater, interacting with Abraham Lincoln and other historical characters. Magically enough, Lincoln turns out to be the Good Fairy. She waves her wand and all the zombie pirates return to the 1790s as swash-buckling, genuine, yo-ho, yo-ho pirates.

Interlude performers Cameron Bachman and Conor Maclean wowed audiences with their unique musical selections!
